Academics:
This past semester brought about a few possible changes for me. You see, there was some kind of mistake that occurred during my registration. One week before classes were set to start, I logged onto my school’s registration website, only to discover that I was not actually enrolled in any classes! So naturally I panicked. Luckily I was able to register for the classes that I needed, all but one. So, I had to find something to replace that. As a last resort, I chose an Oceanography introduction class. I figured it would be easy, but very boring. I really had no idea what it all entailed.
What followed was my adventure through a class that ended up being my favourite of the semester! The Professor who taught the class was perhaps the greatest teacher I’ve ever had, and maybe ever will have. It was a bit of geek heaven, really. It was wonderful to connect with someone who shared the same zeal for science that I do. Her attitude was contagious. She absolutely loves teaching, and it shows in every way possible.
