Yesterday morning I finally got the dna results from my vet – Quark is a girl! My little princess blueberry quaker. So now I have a boy and girl quaker and I’m trying to decide if I should house them separately. I really don’t want babies. There is just too much work needed to properly handraise babies, and I’m not putting my babis on the market for some idiot to buy.
Too many people buy parrots without realizing all their complexities. They scream. They bite. They are very messy. They get hormonal. But the love and affection you get in return in amazing, if you have patience and take the time to learn and respect them… Something a lot of people don’t do. There are so many birds out there being rehomed. I couldn’t stand knowing one of my babies could be one of them.
Please take the time to learn about your new pets species before bringing them into your home, wether its parrot, dog, cat, reptile, etc. They never asked to be brought into captivity. We did this to them. Lets shows them some respect.
